LA Media was delighted to be invited to attend the fourth annual Spliced Awards ceremony. The Spliced Awards is an event that celebrates and showcases the best of Edinburgh College Broadcast Media students’ work produced throughout the year.
The films screened at the ceremony were from the NC, HNC and HND level students’ course work. All of their hard work was scored by a group of independent professionals working in the TV & Film industry. This award ceremony is a chance for the new generation of young film and television markers to show off their practical ability and get noticed by already established media professionals.
The whole LA Media team were impressed by the artful craft of the students’ work and overall really impressed with the talent of the Edinburgh College Broadcast Media students. What would an award event be without some glamour!? The Spliced Award ceremony certainly delivered that! Beautiful Scottish TV and Film actress Shauna MacDonald (Filth, The Descent, Spooks, Wedding Belles) did a fantastic job of being the hostess with the mostest.
